About LCI

The Images and Communications Lab (Laboratorio di Comunicazioni e Immagini - LCI) is a laboratory within the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) of the University of Florence, located in Via Santa Marta 3, 50139 Florence, Italy.

Its staff consists of one Full Professor, one Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor, several Assistant Researchers and one Technical Assistant. Some students also co-operate to the research activity during their degree thesis.

LCI is also involved in the research activities of the Excellence Centre on "Media Integration and Communication" (MICC) and belongs to the Research Unit of Florence of the National Inter-university Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT).

The staff of LCI is involved in the teaching activities of the Faculty of Engineering, with several courses held in the framework of the Laurea degrees on: Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Informatic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering and Transport Engineering.
